The arrest of terror Hafiz Saeed from Pakistan is a part of Islamabad’s long-pending global responsibility, a government source said. The announcement suggests that South Block would favor Pakistan to shoot more devastating actions against terror individuals and outfits. Thus the efficacy of the choice remains to be seen,” stated a source suggesting a Lahore anti-terrorism court conclusion needs to be looked at from the context of the Paris meeting of the FATF which will start on February 16.
From the previous assembly of the FATF at November 2019, Pakistan was cautioned it would stay on the’Grey’ record if demanding actions weren’t initiated against terror outfits and terror funding people in the nation.
The officer claimed that India expects Pakistan to take similar activities consistently. Saeed who obtained a five-and-a-half years sentence for being a part of a terror outfit was requested by the anti-terror courtroom to cover $15,000. The FIR against him was registered in July 2019 on behalf of terror funding in the Counter Terrorism Department at Gujranwala.
“It needs to be seen whether Pakistan would do it against the rest of the terrorist entities and individuals operating from lands under its management, also bring perpetrators of cyber terrorist strikes, such as in Mumbai (2008) and Pathankot (2016) to justice expeditiously,” said the officer.
India believes Saeed are the mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks that claimed lives of 166 individuals and wounded many others. The Pathankot airbase assault of January 2016 scuttled the previous peace initiative which was tried by both sides.
