One man was murdered in Fiji and you is missing as tropical cyclone Sarai battered the South Pacific country with strong wind and heavy rain, police said on Sunday.
The Fiji National Disaster Management Office said one person was in intensive care and over two,500 individuals had transferred to 70 evacuation centers.
The group two tropical cyclone isn’t predicted to make landfall in Fiji, although its weather service has issued flood and storm warnings for portions of the nation.
“Close to its center that the cyclone is expected to have average winds up to 110km/hr with momentary gusts into 150km/hr,” that the Fiji Meteorological Service said in a statement.
Cyclone Sarai is moving east at almost 10 kmh (6 miles ) and is anticipated to go into Tongan waters on Tuesday.
